Big Blue Bungalows
Situated on the lush tropical mountain slope overlooking Chaweng beach, Big Blue Bungalows offer peace and serenity as you escape the hustle and buzzle of busy Chaweng. The bungalows are designed to harmonize with the jungle backdrop and made of select materials readily available on Koh Samui in order not to take toll on the diminishing rain forest of the north. Big Blue Bungalows are primarily offered to our students and divers, but you can of course share a bungalow with a non diving partner. Our location was carefully selected with the criteria of being next to the dive school and close to the entertainment area of Chaweng, but still hidden and out of audible distance from bars and discotheques. Another criteria was to keep the price down so the eight available units are small in size, but still able to comfortably accommodate a couple. Twin sharing is not possible as the 150 cm (5 ft) wide bed can not be separated. We are located approx. 15 minutes walking, or 5 minutes by motorbike from the beach, but since we provide free transfer from and to the resort with our dive trips, the distance is negligible. If you are taking a dive course you will be happy to know that the dive school with class rooms and the only purpose built pool on Samui is located just outside your bungalow! Several paths leading from the resort up into the mountain forest provides great opportunity for easy trekking and if you are the adventurous type, you can cross the entire island by off road motor bike or jeep passing pristine waterfalls along the way. As the few Thai's residing in the mountains still lead their life the same way as they did a hundred years ago you will have the opportunity to see some of the authentic scenery including manual rubber and coconut harvesting As we have quite a lot of career trackers going from Open Water Diver up to Dive master or Instructor we also offer the bungalows on long term basis at monthly rates, in order to lower the total cost of your stay in Samui. Every bungalow comes with a small motor bike that can be rented either on a daily or monthly basis. If you come to stay for a while you will quickly discover why every local drive a motor bike; They are small, fun to drive, and extremely economical! The facilites include a 3 meter, (10 ft), deep swimming pool that was purpose built for dive training, a small restaurant and bar, laundry service, mountain bikes and motor bikes for rent.
	How to find us
Big Blue Bungalows are located near south Chaweng beach, next to Bangkok Hospital, on a small road leading from the main Samui Ring Road to the top of the mountains. Please see the map to get an overview. As it can be a bit tricky to find your way the first time, please check in with our retail shop, located in front of The Princess Village Resort on Chaweng beach road, and we will transfer you to the bungalows. If you pre book your stay we can organize a pick up from the Samui airport.
	Big Blue and the environment
Big Blue Bungalows adhere to sound garbage management by separating plastic, metal and the like to be recycled, from the biodegradable. We urge you to bring used batteries with you when you leave as Samui at the moment lack the proper disposal facilities that are readily available in your home country.
